Also referred to as systemic, examines family processes and functions. It explores how family members communicate, helps them to understand each other better and resolve conflicts. It also looks at how change within the family system affects the unit in a positive or unhelpful way. It is appropriate for all ages and can be useful for individuals, couples or families. As a therapist I examine significant interpersonal relationships with the intention of strengthening communication, thus enabling the family to function better.
